About us
An advocate in your corner when it matters most.
ERT Policyholders Advocates, LLC represents residential policyholders in Illinois, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Meet Amy Thorpe
Amy Thorpe is a licensed public adjuster with ERT Policyholders Advocates, LLC, representing homeowners and residential property owners in Illinois, North Carolina, and Georgia. Her work focuses on property and casualty claims involving water damage, fire and smoke, wind and hail, and large-scale catastrophe losses.
Amy believes policyholders deserve the same level of expertise on their side of the table that insurance companies bring to theirs. After a loss, most families are dealing with a damaged home, disrupted routines, and an unfamiliar claims process all at once. Amy steps in to carry the technical and administrative weight of the claim so her clients can focus on getting their lives back to normal.
Her approach is straightforward: read the policy closely, organize the evidence, and communicate clearly. She builds each claim on documentation, compares insurance company estimates line by line against contractor estimates, and stays persistent through negotiation until the claim is resolved fairly.
Every client works directly with Amy. You will know who is handling your claim, how to reach her, and where things stand at every step.
Why ERT
- We work only for policyholders. Never for insurance companies.
- Licensed and accountable. Licensed in Illinois, North Carolina, and Georgia, with license numbers listed on every page.
- Simple, fair fee. Contingency fee only on insurance proceeds we help obtain, nothing on amounts paid before you hire us. No upfront costs, disclosed in writing.
- Personal attention. Your claim is handled by an adjuster who knows it, not passed between departments.
Before you accept the insurance company’s decision, get a second look.
A denial or a low estimate is not always the final word. Send us the details and we will let you know whether we can help, at no cost to you.
